Scarlet Legacy
New free MMORPG on the way from GamesCampus.

OnNet USA has added another new MMORPG to their Free-to-Play games portal GamesCampus. From InterServe, the makers of Iron Phenix, M2 Online, Mage Knight: Apocalypse and other games, comes Scarlet Legacy, a wuxia themed action MMORPG that takes players through “a journey of thousands of quests to save Princess Scarlet.”

Dragon Nest
Closed beta application now open.

Nexon America has opened the closed beta application for Dragon Nest and announced the closed beta date to be May 17, 2011. Developed by Eyedentity Games, Dragon Nest is an action MMO that’s scheduled to launch in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand this summer.

ASDA 2
Asda Story gets a sequel.

GamesCampus has unveiled Asda 2, the sequel to its fantasy MMORPG Asda Story. The new Asda game will revolve around the war between the factions of Light and Dark and will continue to have faction-based PvP and the ambient weather system found in the original Asda. According to the CBT countdown timer on Asda 2’s official website, it seems that the CBT will arrive as early as May 5, 2011.

Allods Online
Fantasy MMORPG from the makers of HOMM 5 finally leaves beta.

Gala-Net announced recently that Allods Online will officially launch on April 26 in North America and May 11 in Europe, which will be accompanied by the long awaited Astral Odyssey update. The official launch will mark the end of Allods Online’s 14 months long open beta and introduce a host of new features including new high level zones, end-game content and an increased level cap of 47.

Waren
First closed beta to run from March 25 -28.

ALT1 Games USA announced today that Waren Story’s first closed beta test is set to begin today. The closed beta will feature the first three zones and all four playable classes. Testers are expected to test out the character progression, PvE combat and scour the lands for bugs. GMs will be standing by (for the most part) to answer any questions you may have.

ARGO
CBT 2 ends, CBT 3 begins.

burda:ic announced today the completion of ARGO Online’s second closed beta test. With another portion of testing completed, burda:ic is now gearing up for the third phase of CBT, slated to run from March 24 through March 30.

Rusty Hearts

Perfect world Entertainment announced recently that it has signed with WindySoft to operate Rusty Hearts in North America. Rusty Hearts is a cel-shaded, action-based MORPG that plays like a beat ‘em up. The game’s launch date has not been confirmed yet, but Perfect world Entertainment is planning to introduce Rusty Hearts at this year’s E3 (which is between June 7 – 9), so the official launch is likely sometime after E3, probably in the second half of 2011.

Champions Online

Cryptic Studios just announced yesterday that Champions Online’s F2P update, dubbed Champions Online: Free For All, will be launching worldwide on January 25, 2011. The F2P update will introduce the expanded C-Store, where players can purchase Adventure Packs, items, powers and costumes. There’s also the option to become a Gold Member, in which you pay a monthly subscription fee of $14.99 to gain access to most of the game’s content.

PSO2

PSO fans, your prayers have been answered. SEGA announced at TGS 2010 recently that Phantasy Star Online 2 (PSO2) is a go. Based on the teaser trailer SEGA showcased, the game is developed for Windows PC and will arrive sometime in 2011 (hopefully worldwide). No gameplay footage was shown in the brief teaser, but it’s PSO and it’s developed in-house by SEGA, so fans should have a rough idea of what to expect.
